Being A Flow Of Light Irrespective Of Your Imperfections

A Short One On Being A Light

Most people do consider themselves incapable of giving “light to all in their cycle or family or among friends” Because they believe they know their weaknesses all too well. They see the darkness in their lives. And they ask "how can i give light to anyone?

You see, they think that the light they are supposed to give is the light of their own perfection. They believe they needed to get their lives sorted out before they could ever minister to someone else. They are waiting to be perfect before they can start doing God's will.

And out of that misconception they fail to experience the abundant life that comes from being used by God.

The truth of Scripture is that God is not calling us to minister out of our perfection. He isn’t calling us to figure everything out before we can be used. The most powerful declaration we can make to those in darkness is that we who are in desperate need have been met by a perfectly loving Savior. He died while we were yet sinners - so He is not going to wait until we are perfect to start using us. What he expect of us is progress not perfection.

When all the world sees is our facade of perfection, they know right away that they don’t belong in Christianity. But when we live with the courage to be truly vulnerable and honest, we open our lives for those in darkness to see the light of God within us—that he in His grace encounters, loves, and dwells with weak and desperate men and women...

When God says "be ye perfect" He wants You to love without partiality and unconditionally. He wants you to give out love freely - let the love in your heart minister to those around you. For in loving others we become the light set on a hill.

Owe nothing to anyone except to love one another; for he who loves his neighbor has fulfilled the law. -Romans 13:8

So The Flow Of Light Is The Flow Of Love - Light Goes Where Love Is.
